Terms of Service
The agreement governing your use of the Global Health DataChain protocol: eligibility, the rewards economy, acceptable use, disclaimers, and your rights.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Global Health DataChain protocol, apps, and websites ("GHDC", the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
This document is the English-language authoritative version. A Portuguese (Brazil) translation is provided for convenience; if the two conflict, the English version governs.
1. Who we are
The Service is operated by GlobalHealth DataChain LLC ("the Operator", "we", "us"), established in the United States. Contact: info@globalhealthdatachain.com.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. The Service is not available where prohibited by law. By using the Service you confirm you meet these requirements.
3. What GHDC is — and is not
GHDC lets you voluntarily contribute health information through a standardized WHO questionnaire and earn rewards within a participative data economy. GHDC is not a healthcare provider and does not give medical advice. See our separate Informed Consent & Medical Disclaimer. Nothing in the Service is a substitute for professional medical care.
4. Your account and identity
- You sign in through our authentication provider and are issued an embedded blockchain wallet. You are responsible for maintaining access to your login method.
- You may be asked to complete proof-of-personhood (World ID) to confirm you are a unique human. This protects the integrity of the rewards economy.
- One human may hold one participant account. Creating multiple accounts, or using bots, automation, or false identities, is prohibited and may result in forfeiture of rewards and termination.
5. Consent and your data
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy and the Informed Consent you provide before your first contribution. You retain the rights described in the Privacy Policy, including the right to withdraw consent.
6. The rewards economy (credits and future token)
- You may earn credits ("GHD credits") for eligible contributions. Credits are calculated using a trust-weighted formula with diminishing caps per person and per period, and are distributed in periodic epochs from a fixed pool.
- Credits are not money, securities, or a guaranteed entitlement. They are an off-chain record of contribution. We may adjust the reward schedule, caps, and formulas to protect the integrity and sustainability of the economy.
- GHDC operates a hybrid, phased token model. Any future on-chain token, its availability, and any conversion of credits are not guaranteed, may be subject to eligibility and legal restrictions, and may never occur. Nothing in the Service is an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security or token.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit false, fabricated, duplicated, or misleading health data.
- Manipulate or attempt to game the rewards system (including Sybil attacks or collusion).
- Reverse-engineer, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its data vaults.
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to infringe others' rights.
- Submit another person's data without lawful authority.
We may suspend or terminate accounts, withhold or reverse credits, and withhold data from research where we reasonably suspect a breach of these Terms.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks (including the GHDC name and logo), is owned by the Operator or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. You retain your rights in the data you contribute, and grant us the licenses described in the Privacy Policy and Informed Consent to process and anonymize it.
9. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties (e.g. authentication/wallet and proof-of-personhood providers, infrastructure). Your use of those components may be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any reward or token will have any particular value. The Service does not provide medical advice.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or rewards. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including your mandatory consumer-protection rights under Brazilian and EU law).
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or where required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability) survive termination.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified in the app, and continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Where a change affects your health-data consent, you will be asked to consent again under a new version.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence. Disputes will be resolved before the competent courts of the United States, subject to any mandatory local jurisdiction rules that apply to you as a consumer.
